We love the roles and relationships we’ve formed with our church, community, and family. Lately, though, we’ve felt a little besieged by all the commitments we’ve made to spend time off the farm. The driveway is rutted, the weeds have taken over Veg Hill where vegetables should be, and Lee’s blackberry primocanes need suppressing. In our podcast today, we reflect on how we’ve become so distracted and what we plan to do to restore a better balance. Despite the podcast title, we know how important it is for us to be thoroughly engaged with our neighborhood and our community, and we have no intention of walking away from them. It’s a matter of treading that fine line more judiciously.
