Longleaf Breeze

We are subsistence farmers working and living  on our small farm six miles SW of Tallassee, AL. Amanda is the Farmer-in-Chief; Lee focuses primarily on his legal practice, with secondary attention to the farm.

Dr. Amanda Welch Borden is a retired associate professor at Samford University, where she taught speech communication, persuasion, small groups communication, and interpersonal communication. Her primary concentration is intercultural communication. She continues to consult with companies and other organizations about enhancing the intercultural competence of their staff.

Lee is a lawyer who continues to provide divorce services for couples who know they need to divorce, are able to be reasonably cooperative, and want to stay that way. He maintains a large, active divorce site called Divorceinfo.com.

In addition to Longleaf Breeze, we record and publish a weekly podcast about the goings on at the farm, and we maintain together a web site dealing with sustainable living in a post-petroleum world, LetTheSunWork.com.
