It’s that time of year when all of us take time to be thankful, and we look forward to the opportunity each year. We are so blessed.
We are grateful for food, for health, for our family and friends, for our church, and for the life we are building here on the farm. We also take time to be thankful for the suburban life we left behind. In so many ways, our years in the city prepared us for our lives as farmers.
One of the things we love most about our tiny church – Episcopal Church of the Epiphany – is how we all have focused our efforts on one monthly outreach ministry, called Beans & Rice. Amanda is helping our friend Ramona Heil-Norris ready the shelves for the big food distribution day. This month we gave away about a ton of food to 83 households.
