We designed the lodge so that we could welcome guests to come and spend the night and also so we could use it for large events. Tuesday of this week we got our first chance to use it for a large workshop. It passed.
We didn’t know until the morning of the event how many folks to expect, but it turned out to be about 60. A cold wind forced us to move the bulk of the program off the large screen porch where we had planned to host it and into the gathering room. It was cozy, but our enthusiastic participants seemed to take it in stride.
In today’s program Amanda and I describe the coverage of the workshop, how our guests seemed to react to the facilities, and what we’ve learned after hosting such a large event.
