Podcast #187 – A Strawberry Summary

We’ve had a really good run with our strawberries this year – our best crop ever. Alas, the season is waning now.

This week we share with you what caused our crop to be so much better and how we planted and tended it. We also confess that, even though we were pleased, we still didn’t have enough berries to make a good batch of jam. With an assist from Oakview Farms Granary over in Wetumpka, we were able to take advantage of the U-pick last week and collect three one-gallon baskets. That gave us LOTS of jam!
